Meet Quilliam, or Quill for short. Quill is a Cape porcupine who is 9-years- old and is an animal ambassador for our Kroger Cheetah Encounter. He does programs on site and also travels to local schools to teach children about his amazing species. He loves all different kinds of vegetables like sweet potatoes and corn. He also loves fruit, especially mango. His least favorite foods are asparagus and brussel sprouts. Did you know a group of porcupines is called a prickle? Isn't that the best?! | C

Meet Quilliam and Piper, the Zoo’s new squishy-nosed prehensile-tailed porcupines! This bonded pair are said to be curious and nosey (no pun intended 😉) about what is going on around them. They love to munch, especially on corn and coconut, and are always side by side. 🥰 This porcupine species is known for their prehensile tails that are adapted for holding objects, balancing on branches and even climbing tree limbs!
