Royal Armoured Corps troops undertaking the tactics part of the Light Cavalry course. The troops have been learning the skills required to survive in a sub-surface OP (Observation Post). An essential part of reconnaissance, the sub-surface OP sees soldiers dig into a position overlooking the enemy where they are likely to remain for long periods, gaining information that will inform the battle. They have to be able to react and exfiltrate from the OP if an enemy force approaches their position.
